Child Protection

  1. Before leaving your child at a training session or for a match, please ensure that the manager and assistant (or an adult) are present. CTK FC cannot be held responsible for your child otherwise.

  2. All teams have at least one person who is fully trained, or is in the process of being trained in First Aid.

  3. All managers carry comprehensive First Aid kits.

  4. All managers and coaching staff have completed self-declaration forms which are in the process of being cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau for the safety of your child.

  5. Can you as parents/guardians please ensure that the confidential emergency contact forms are kept up-to-date especially changes of telephone numbers, including mobiles.

  6. It is imperative that medical details of your child are kept up-to-date and any medication that is being used (e.g. inhalers) is clearly named. It must remain the player’s responsibility to collect any inhalers at the end of the session. Managers/coaches have a lot to remember and therefore cannot be held responsible.

  7. Managers/coaches need to be aware of who is responsible for collecting the player and please be prompt. Managers have homes to go to as well.

  8. Managers/coaches will respect the rights, dignity and worth of each player and will be treated equally.

  9. Managers/coaches will place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations.

  10. Managers/coaches will develop a working relation with each player based on mutual trust and respect.

  11. Managers/coaches from the outset will clarify with the player and parent exactly what is expected of them and in turn what they can expect from the Manager.

  12. Managers/coaches will promote fair play and high standards of behaviour and appearance (all players shall be responsible for their own kit).

  13. Should any player require treatment either on the field of play or at training session it shall be fully explained to them what is being done and there will always be another person present during that treatment.

  14. Should any player require disciplinary action it will always be made clear why the action is being taken, and again there will always be another person present.

  15. On away match days can you as parents ensure that your child does not travel alone with anyone, however short the journey.

  16. Should you have any concerns, please feel free to speak to the manager or another member of CTK FC or Anthea Griffin (Allocated Named Child Protection Person) Telephone: 024 7659 8703.
